The Aadhaar Enrollment centres are those centres which are given the responsibility of enrolling all the resident Indians for Aadhaar by collecting demographic and biometric details in confirmation with the guidelines laid down by the UIDAI. The Aadhaar card enrollment centres are operated by enrollment agencies which are engaged with registrars. Both permanent and temporary enrollment centres are spread across the length and breadth of the country.
At the enrollment centre, one should correctly fill in all the personal details in the enrollment form.Individuals photo, fingerprints (all ten fingers of both the hands) and iris scan will be taken as a part of the enrollment process. One can review the details one has provided and make necessary corrections if any during the enrollment itself to avoid discrepancies. You will be receiving an acknowledgement slip with an enrollment number and other related details which will be captured during the enrollment process. Any kind of correction in the enrollment data, if any can be done within a time span of 96 hours of enrollment by visiting the enrollment centre along with the acknowledgement slip.
The enrollment centre is spread across all the states and union territories in India which is being covered by the UIDAI and Office of Registrar General of India (RGI). The aadhar enrollment activities are being extensively carried out by RGI along with the preparation of the National Population Register (NPR) in the states of Assam and Meghalaya. The residents of all other states and union territories are required to enroll only at the Aadhaar Camps or Aadhar Enrollment Centre or at any of the Permanent Enrollment Centre.
The advancement of the technology has made the UIDAI for electronic storage and retrieval of Aadhaar details. The online version of Aadhaar is known as e-Aadhaar and the same is available in PDF format and this can be downloaded from the UIDAI website.
The E-Aadhar can be accessed via the official UIDAI web portal by using any of the following:

The E-Aadhar is an electronic version of the Aadhar card and the same can be downloaded online on submission of the individual’s Aadhar or the enrollment identity. This version is as valid as the physical aadhaar card. One can download the e-aadhaar at the official web portal of UIDAI and can even check for the e-aadhaar card status.
