During July, the government of Bihar has declared bank holidays during following days. On July 13, the second week of Saturday as Bank Holiday and on July 27, the fourth week of Saturday as Bank Holiday.

During these two days, there will be no banking transactions at branch level across all the banks in Bihar.All the banks including Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab and Sind Bank, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited, RBL Bank, Bandhan Bank will remain closed during these two days.
Shravani Mela: The Shravani Mela is usually observed during the month of Shravan (July- August). It is an important month-long festival held along the 108 km long route linking the two towns of Deogarh and Sultanganj. The devotees who take part in the festival are known as Kanwarias. They wear saffron-colored clothes and collect water from the sacred ghats at sultanganj. These Kanwarias walk barefoot on the 108 km long stretch to Deogarh, to bathe the sacred idol of Lord Shiva. This festival draws a huge people from across the country. It is not a bank holiday on Shravani Mela.
