During July, the government of Odisha has declared bank holidays during following days. On July 4, on account of Ratha Yatra; July 13, the second week of Saturday as Bank Holiday and on July 27, the fourth week of Saturday as Bank Holiday.

During these two days, there will be no banking transactions at branch level across all the banks in Odisha.All the banks including Dhanlaxmi Bank, Bandhan Bank, IDBI Bank, Allahabad Bank, UCO Bank will remain closed during these two days.
Jagannath Rath Yatra: It is a Hindu festival. It is associated with Lord Jagannath. The rath yatra is held in Puri, in India. It is one of the oldest Ratha Yatra in the world, its descriptions can be found in Brahma Purana, Padma Purana and Skanda Purana and Kapila Samhita. It is an annual festival.The festival is celebrated during the Ashadha Shukla Paksha - Dwitiya. It commemorates Jagannath’s annual visit to Gundicha Temple in Mausi Maa Temple near Balagandi Chaka. As a part of the Ratha Yatra, the deities of Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Balabhadra and younger sister Subhadra are taken out in a procession to Gundicha Temple and it remains there for a period of nine days. They will be accompanied by Sudarshana Chakra. The banks will work normally during Puri Ratha Yatra.
